These financial relationships do not determine which agencies appear in our rankings, nor do they influence the scores, rankings, or editorial commentary assigned to any agency. Agencies cannot pay for placement, and no agency has editorial review or approval rights over our content.

Editorial Independence
Our editorial team makes all ranking and scoring decisions independently. Commercial relationships are managed separately from editorial operations. No agency — whether a financial partner or not — is guaranteed a ranking, a favorable review, or exemption from criticism.
All agencies featured on this site are subject to the same evaluation criteria and scoring methodology. We include critical observations ("Worth Noting" sections) for every ranked agency, including our top-ranked pick, to provide readers with a balanced perspective.
Ranking Methodology
Our annual rankings evaluate matchmaking agencies across six equally weighted criteria: client success rates (verified long-term matches), vetting and screening quality, client satisfaction (aggregated from Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, and other public review platforms), exclusivity and discretion standards, coaching and support services, and industry recognition (awards, press coverage, and peer reputation).
Rankings are compiled using publicly available information, published client reviews, direct editorial research, and our proprietary scoring methodology. We do not conduct paid surveys or accept self-reported success data from agencies at face value. Where possible, we verify claims through independent sources.
Scores are expressed as a numerical rating out of 10. These scores reflect the editorial judgment of our review team and should be understood as opinion, not as objective measurements. Reasonable people — and reasonable matchmakers — may disagree with our assessments.
Content Standards
All factual claims published on this site are based on publicly verifiable information at the time of writing. We use publicly available data including founding dates, office locations, pricing ranges (where published), and leadership information. If an agency or reader identifies a factual error, we welcome corrections at hello@thematchmakingreport.com and will update content promptly.
Editorial opinions — including rankings, scores, and the language used in reviews — represent the professional judgment of our editorial team. Reviews are updated periodically to reflect changes in the industry, and publication dates are clearly noted.
Agency Submissions
Matchmaking agencies that wish to be considered for future rankings may submit information to our editorial team. Submission does not guarantee inclusion, and no fee is associated with the submission process. Editorial decisions regarding inclusion and ranking remain at the sole discretion of our team.
